Bigfoot Mentorship Program
Started in 2007, the mentorship program is designed to provide one-on-one mentoring to individual children within a selected orphanage. In addition, the program donates basic necessities such as clothing, toys, books and medical care. This relationship between the mentor and child is cultivated each month during a group outing. Types of outings range from snorkeling, beach days, karaoke parties, trips to museums and even a trip to see the Capitol. Mentors also bring children to sessions incorporating dance, acting and voice through the International Academy of Film and Television.
Funding for the mentorship program comes from Bigfoot Foundation and individual employee donations. In addition to mentors, the program utilizes volunteers to be drivers, program planners and coordinators for the day of the event.
